A Look at the History of GPS Heroes
Our story begins almost fifteen years ago in 2001 when our founder Don Mastrangelo entered the GPS Tracking industry leading the sales effort for a start-up company, which became a Fortune 500 company. Don immediately saw the huge impact a GPS Tracking system could make for any business operating a fleet of vehicles. After six years of success with two Fortune 500 companies (in 2008 when the economy fell apart), Don and his young family moved to Hawaii to start a new lifestyle and adventure.
Initially branded Hawaiian GPS, over the next few years Don helped hundreds of local Hawaii customers track their vehicles and assets.
In 2011 Hawaiian GPS rebranded and became GPS Heroes as we began to provide our solutions to customers on the US Mainland. In 2012 we partnered with Verizon Wireless to co-sell the GPS Heroes solution, and today we are keeping track of many thousands of vehicles and assets for customers all across the United States from our offices in Winchester, California and Honolulu, Hawaii.

We get great feedback from our customers every day, but sometimes we hear some truly amazing and dramatic stories, which led to our partnership with Bishop-Lyons Entertainment in 2015 to create the GPS Heroes Reality TV Show which is currently in development. Don, the staff and our customers from all over the country are having a blast filming the show!

Since 1985, Don Mastrangelo has built dozens of highly successful sales armies for well-known organizations such as Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing, AlphaGraphics, and Trimble Navigation as well as building sales armies for his own entrepreneurial companies in fields ranging from newspaper publishing, telecommunications, printing, advertising, residential construction and land development.

Mr. Mastrangelo is currently the Executive Director of GPS Heroes, a leader in the GPS Tracking industry, helping fleet owners, parents and outdoor enthusiasts to “Keep Track of What Matters Most”. Don is also co-producer of the GPS Heroes Reality TV Show which is currently in development.
